If you have customers outside Egypt, Stripe lets you accept international cards. StorkPlus offers two Stripe methods, and both work for orders from your storefront and from WhatsApp, Messenger and Instagram.
- Two options: Stripe Checkout (a Stripe-hosted page) and Stripe Web Elements (payment inside your store).
- You need the publishable key and the secret key from Stripe.
- Use authorize holds the amount on the card without charging it.
- Add webhook secret keys so payment updates reach the order.

Stripe Checkout or Stripe Web Elements?
- Stripe Checkout: the customer goes to a ready-made Stripe payment page and returns to your store after paying. Easiest to set up.
- Stripe Web Elements: the card fields appear inside your own checkout, so the customer never leaves your store.
Both take the same settings, so you can start with one and switch later.
Step 1: Get your keys from Stripe
In the Stripe dashboard open Developers → API keys and copy the publishable key and the secret key. Start with test keys, then use live keys.
Step 2: Create the payment method
In your store admin open Configuration → Payment methods, click Create and choose Stripe Checkout or Stripe Web Elements. Paste both keys and name the method in Arabic and English.
Step 3: Authorize only (Use authorize)
With Use authorize on, the bank holds the amount on the customer’s card for up to seven days without charging it. Useful when you want to confirm stock before you take the money.
Step 4: Webhook
Add your secret in Webhook secret keys. You create it in Stripe when you add a new webhook endpoint, and it lets payment updates reach the order.
Step 5: Payment method types
There is a Payment method types field, but you usually do not need it: Stripe recommends managing payment methods from the Stripe dashboard.
For customers in Egypt you can also use Paymob or XPay, plus cash on delivery.
Common Stripe setup mistakes
- A test key with a live key: both keys must come from the same mode.
- No webhook: payment updates never reach the order.
- Forgotten authorizations: with Use authorize on, capture the payment within seven days before the hold expires.
All of this works for customers ordering from your storefront or from WhatsApp, Messenger and Instagram.
