Before you start selling on Instagram
- Your Instagram account must be a Business account.
- It must be linked to a Facebook Page you manage.
Step 1: Connect Instagram
In your store admin open Bots → Instagram and click Connect Instagram. Log in with the Facebook account that manages the Page, choose the Page and its Instagram account, and allow the requested permissions.
Step 2: Persistent menu
In the Persistent Menu tab you set fixed buttons the customer sees in the chat:
- List Products
- My Cart
- Empty Cart
- Checkout
Rename each button in words your customers use, then click Update Instagram Persistent Menu.
Step 3: Instructions for the AI agent
In the AI Assistant tab write the custom AI prompt: how to greet, what to say about sizes, delivery and exchanges, and when to suggest products. Choose the sales channel it sells from.
Tips for better instructions
- Write in the same dialect as your customers.
- State delivery times and the exchange policy clearly.
- Ask the agent to suggest a matching product once the customer picks one.
